3 simple tips: Make this your Magical year!! Part 2

Continuing the post from yesterday…. just how to create that magical year?

The first tip is to pay attention to inner wisdom. How does your body talk to you?  What actions can you take that honor those messages?

Have you ever pushed yourself through more and more work (or play!) even though your body is trying to signal you that you’re exhausted? If you notice you’re feeling tired, stop and rest. Even just a few minutes of rest will signal your body that you are paying attention, and create a pathway for inner wisdom to shine through. Not to mention you’ll feel more rested and as a result have more energy.

When you’re feeling unfocused, physical exercise such as taking a walk or breathing through some yoga postures may easily return you to a state of focused attention. Even just 5 minutes of focused activity can work wonders for busting through inattention.

The more you start paying attention to what your body is trying to tell you, and make decisions that honor those messages, the more you will be presented with opportunities to be guided by your inner wisdom. In that space, life becomes easier and more joyful!

Make this your Magical Year!! Part 1

Wow! Here we are into February already. While the weather in some parts of the country is dark and dreary (we’ve had our share in NM, too!), during this time I have a renewed sense of hope and renewal. The trappings from the holidays have fallen away, and I have a sense of more breathing room. There’s a stillness and quietness as the natural world prepares for Spring, and the days seem alive with new possibilities.

If you have declared a New Year’s resolution, you may have either already put the wheels in motion to achieve it, or dropped it with a sigh as being “unreachable, afterall…”. In either case, I invite you this year to consider creating a different kind of year! Instead of trying to make this year “perfect” (which requires a certain amount of control), make this your Magical Year!

Magic brings with it a sense of aliveness and possibility– wondering what will come next. Carry that excitement and openness forward into this year, and save some mental space for awareness of any new synchronicities that are sure to pop up!

How to create that magic? Stay tuned tomorrow for Part 2 – and you can read the entire article at http://budurl.com/vhpv.

Welcome to Your Magical Life!

What might it be like for you if your life felt magical? What if we lived in world where living a magical life was a daily occurrence for everyone? I’m not suggesting that we forego reality, and live in a fantasy world….. I’m also not suggesting that we ignore our commitments and obligations. I’m boldly suggesting that we transcend our current sense of what’s possible, and create a new reality that unfolds in a magical way; a reality where our commitments and obligations happen easily, almost organically, as if by magic. We get to live from a place where life is no longer a struggle, and we’re living life fully instead of merely surviving!

I believe it’s possible to live life in that way; where possibilities flow abundantly, and new opportunities present themselves synchronistically. I also understand that there may be a great deal of comfort in our familiarity with the lives we’ve been living, even though our life may not be completely to our liking. Perhaps we experience a degree of drama from time to time that also keeps us in a familiar pattern, and prevents us from expecting or creating something better. I imagine there might always be some degree of drama in the world (we humans do seem to be drawn to it!), but how we choose to think about our world/life drama defines our point of empowerment, or that place that we feel empowered. Choice is really a key word here. Though it may not always seem like it, we really do get to choose our thoughts, and beliefs, our dreams and our realities. We have much more power over the direction our lives take than often imagined. Stay tuned…..
